Our social media footprint
We continued to increase our presence on social media into 2018 and recorded significant growth in activity during the first quarter on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. For the next quarter, we plan to appeal to a larger audience by varying our content.
We continue to use social media as a means of reaching more people with our quality research content. Last year, we achieved great success with audience growth, engagements and reach. In the first quarter of 2018, we have sought to build on the momentum, despite significant changes in Facebook policy. Below are a few highlights of our social media work for Q1 2018.
ACET’s Facebook page currently has 21,908 likes. This represents a growth of 1,749 from the end December audience of 20,159 and a 268 percent increase over first quarter 2017.
On Twitter, we gained 2,600 followers from January to March putting our total followership at 12,636 as at 26 March.
Our LinkedIn page, which has recently become an integral part of our social media communications, had 376 followers as at end of December. This increased to 607 by the end of first quarter 2018.
All our platforms saw growth in audience. In the second quarter, we intend to employ more innovative audio-visual content to drive our social media engagements.
